TRANSFORM-HF TRAIL

Frusemide is the most common diuretic but some studies had shown torsemide is benefical. TRANSFORM-HF is a randomised trial done on 2859 patients with heart failure to determine torsemide results in decreased mortality.  Study found that torsemide compared with frusemide didnot result in a significant difference in all cause mortality over 12 months.

Hemithorax white-out due to massive pleural effusion
